Long before the doors at Raging Bull Harley-Davidson opened for business members from the Bull City HOG Chapter were hard at work in the parking lot setting up for their annual Chili Cook-off. Tents were erected, extension cords were run, and the crock pots were fired up! And with that the low hanging clouds began to thin, and the early morning cold faded away into a beautiful day.
Elsewhere in the lot, the Christian Motorcyclists Association, Hells Angels, and the School Of Rock were also busy with their own set ups. At the appointed hour of 11 am, the chili fans lined up and the tasting began. It was a close contest, but in the end, Doug Banks took first place, and bragging rights till next year. Steve Ross came in a close second.
Adding to the festivities was the School of Rock. These guys and girls were really fun to watch and listen to. The adult performers provided the opening set and then the younger members came out and really cut loose. All in all, it was a great family day with food, music, lots of motorcycles, and, of course, great fellowship with folks from all over the Triangle area.
